Lord William Camoys has over 25 years of professional experience in international corporate finance and as a member of HM Diplomatic Service. He is also the custodian of Stonor Park, founder of Marlow Film Studios and is a member of the United Kingdom’s House of Lords. He has travelled frequently to Nepal all his life and has been involved with nature conservation in Nepal ever since working as a volunteer for Nepal’s National Trust for Nature Conservation in 1993.
Following 10 years with the Brigade of Gurkhas, serving in the UK, Hong Kong, Brunei, South Korea and Nigeria, Christopher took over as Resident Agent at the magnificent Harewood House in Yorkshire, one of the ten UK Treasure Houses. He left Harewood in 2016 to continue his business taking and guiding people in Nepal and Bhutan which he continues to this day. Having always had a keen interest in conservation and such strong links with Nepal, it was natural for him to become involved with the Trust, serving first on the committee and soon after becoming a Trustee.
James Birch spent the first half of his career in finance including 21 years at Goldman Sachs. More recently he has run Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire, a diversified estate with over 200 employees. He is a former President of Historic Houses and former Chairman of the Finance Board of the Diocese of Lincoln.
Jeremy is an Oxford zoology graduate and former officer in the Brigade of Gurkhas who served for two years in Nepal. He also served in the Foreign Office and is now a private equity fund manager.
“I have a strong affinity for the wildlife and people of Nepal. Their mutual well-being is why I support Nepal Nature Trust.”

Prof Richard Kock has spent 44 years as a veterinary scientist focused on wildlife health and disease in Africa and Asia. He spent 28 years with the ZSL Institute of Zoology which included a 15-year secondment to the Kenya Wildlife Service in Nairobi.
From 2011 – 2022 he was Professor (Research) Wildlife Health and Emerging Diseases at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. Awarded FAO Bronze Medal for contributions to the global eradication of rinderpest virus and the Tom and Beth Williams Award for exceptional contributions to wildlife health. He is currently Vice President of the Wildlife Disease Association.
Professor Kock became involved in the NNT through the late Field Marshal Sir John Chapple and his international health and conservation experience in Nepal with the Darwin Initiative and other UK funded projects. His role as a Trustee is as a technical expert, to advise the charity on its activities and disbursements.

Siddhartha SJB Rana is the Chairman of the Siprabhya Group of Companies in Nepal. The Group has a diverse portfolio of businesses ranging from hospitality and travel, power generation, automobiles and private equity.
I was keen to join the Trust, given that my late father was a founding Trustee and I too am committed towards Nature Conservation in Nepal.

Amita Sen has been a trustee of NNT for over three decades. As a professional educationist, she has shared her knowledge, particularly in the area of promoting environmental education and wildlife conservation. Through NNT she has had the opportunity to develop awareness, raise funds and initiate effective environmental and wildlife conservation projects with local communities and students in Nepal and UK.
Major General Gerald Strickland is the Colonel Commandant of the Brigade of Gurkhas and has served with Gurkhas from Nepal throughout his 35-year Army career. His first visits to Nepal as a university student involved research into conservation in the middle hills, and he retains a keen interest in the topic. He follows a well-established path as a military Trustee of the charity, following in the footsteps of Field Marshal Sir John Chapple who did so much for conservation in Nepal.
Dr Mark Watson is a plant scientist at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh where he heads the Flora of Nepal research team. With over 25 years’ experience of working with Nepali colleagues on projects ranging from biodiversity inventory to the sustainable use of natural resources, Mark has a deep understanding of the challenges of nature conservation in Nepal. Mark’s botanical perspectives, and experience in managing nature-based projects, contribute towards the holistic approaches to nature conservation advocated by NNT. His role as a trustee is as a technical expert, to advise the charity on its activities and disbursements.
Garth Weston CVO has spent his whole career in the food and ingredients industry, in both FMCG and B2B, primarily in the UK and Asia. After graduating, he spent over 10 years at the Ryvita Company, before moving to an Asia Pacific role in food ingredients. He first lived in Australia then in China for more than 7 years. Since his return from Asia, he has served on the board of Wittington Investments and working with a number of agricultural food and fishery businesses, in addition to running his mixed farm in Oxfordshire. Garth has served as a Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation from 2009 until 2022. He has a degree in Agricultural Mechanisation from Newcastle University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Jane Loveless accepted a post in the Conservation Department at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) in 1997. The Society had for some years worked in Nepal helping to support wildlife conservation and had established a domestic veterinary service in Chitwan National Park. As part of her job, Jane was asked to take on the administration of NNT and although having now left ZSL, has continued to work with the Trust ever since. She has visited Nepal on many occasions in a private capacity and has grown to love the country and its people.
Bill is a Chartered Accountant with over 45 years’ experience. Until recently, he was a senior shareholder and director of the largest independent firm of accountants in Essex. He has harboured a love of Nepal ever since travelling there many years ago.
